You can easily remove a Co-Guide so that they return to Member status.
1. Course View
Navigate to your course by tapping the book icon at the bottom of the app. Then tap the name of the group at the top of the screen.

There will be 3 horizontal lines at the top right of the screen. Tap this, and a pop-up will display. Tap Group Settings.
3. Group Settings
There will be a few options to choose from. Tap Share Guide role with a Group Member.
4. Choose Guide
Here you will see a list of your Members and Co-Guides. Tap the Guide you'd like to remove.
5. Remove Guide
On the next page, there will be a recap of what will happen when you remove the Co-Guide. Once you're ready, tap Remove as Guide.
Unlike when you share Group Guide responsibilities, the member will not receive a notification email.
